Nic and Lolita’s wedding has got to be my favorite wedding thus far this season! It was held aboard the absolutely gorgeous Eternity YachtΒ by Electra Cruises in Newport Beach, CA. and it was the biggest yacht of the entire fleet I might add. As a matter of fact, the mother of R&B diva and megastar, Beyonce, actually got married in this same boat the weekend priorΒ where husband and world-renowned rapper Jay-Z, was also in attendance. But I digress π It was great to work with Nic and Lolita because they were open, flexible and really trusted that my musical tastes and recommendations would work for them and their guests. I appreciated Nic’s attention to detail and Lolita’s fun-loving spirit.
This was quite special to me because it was the wedding of my best friend’s sister. My favorite part was when both my best friend and his mom walked the bride down the aisle–a very special and touching moment indeed.
Backspin Entertainment provided ceremony sound reinforcement and a reception DJ package with uplighting. The wedding guests were a lot fun! We literally rocked the boat. As a DJ, I think I’ve done my job quite well when guests refuse to leave the dance floor even after the boat docked–the captain had to finally ask us to start disembarking hehe. I kept the dance floor moving with a mixture of R&B, Hip-hop and Top 40. Congratulations Nic and Lolita!
